Our Christmas 2009 Pictures are up!
New 2009-2010 Catalog
We are delighted to post on line our 2009-2010 bicycle helmet catalog. This is our largest catalog ever. We have tried to make it easy to use with just one model per page. We have included multiple graphics per helmet. We have additional graphics available so please ask our sales representatives to see our exciting graphics for each model.
We have also included on the cover page all the accessories you can select to customize each helmet. We are excited to introduce the Latchcam buckle that allows micro-adjustments with just a flick of the cover.
Also you can see our new developments such as the visor light where the circuitry is built right into the visor. Also, we have the snap on light where the light is a separate item and snaps onto our visor # 4 which fits many helmet models.
Also, we have divided our catalog into children's helmet models, adult helmets, and in-mold models. Please review each section and select the models that appeal to you and feel free to ask our sales representatives for additional graphic selection or samples. Please note on each page, we have included the certified size range of each helmet model and also listed out which accessories are available for that model. We have done all this for your easy use!

We are proud to announce the release of our new carbon cage, Stealth Grip, model number SC-04. This clocks in at 24 gm. While is it not the lightest on the market, its grip has been tested by mountain bike riders around the world. We are proud to say, after riding over rocks, sticks and even small logs, the water bottle stays put. With proven functionality, the Stealth Grip is preferring by mountain bikers.
Taipei Cycle Show 2009
The Taipei Cycle Show 2009 remains Strategic Sports' most important trade show with most of our customers and friends visiting our 6 x 3 meter booth during the 4 days of the show. We introduced exciting new products, new graphics and also explained our new processes.
Some people said the show seemed to have fewer people than years before however, we felt that the cycle trade was not as affected by the global economic turmoil than some other industries. With increased market pressures, we focused on showing our new economic inmold helmets.
Below are some images from the show.
Shanghai Show 2009
On the evening of May 4th, we invited our overseas customers and Chinese dealers to dinner on the banks of the Huang Pu river. Dr. Cheng inspired us with his tales from his youth and his voyage to the United States where he received his Ph.D. in mass communications. See you next year at the 2010 Shanghai dinner!
ISPO Show 2009
This year, the ISPO show was Feb. 1 - Feb. 4. So the Strategic snow helmet team arrived in Munich on January 30th and went straight to the convention center with their huge bags of display helmets. The next few hours, the team was busy setting up the booth for our most important snow show of the year. However, the peg board dimensions were not quite right but luckily, Lotus Lam thought of having us bring our own drill. While the show organizers do not allow us to drill our own holes, what they won't see won't hurt them!
By 6 pm, all were jetlagged and so we went to the hotel for an early dinner and bed.
The 2009 ISPO show was one of the most exciting shows as most customers sold out during the winter as there was snow everywhere. And these customers were eager for more products.
We thank all the people visiting our booth making it one of the more exciting Ispo shows in years.
After the ISPO show, we sent to scenic Kitzbuhel, Austria to do some market research. At Kitzbuhel, the team worked hard to learn more about helmet applications and functionality in the proper environment. We learned all about wind chill and had to buy more clothes as what we brought from Southern China was not at all suitable. After all that hard work, we sated our appetite with the local Austrian cuisine.
Special thanks to the Head team for making all arrangements.
For many in China, the 2008 Olympic game was transformational. During the months leading up to the games, the pride our staff expressed was nearly tangible. The Strategic kindergarten was invited to take part in the Olympic Torch welcoming ceremony at nearby Hui Zhou city. Starting in April, the kids worked hard to practice their skating skills to perform in a stadium with a crowd of over 10,000 people. Professional instructors were hired to train the kids. All gear was provided free of charge by Strategic Sports, especially nice were the helmets!
For the children of our kindergarten, this was an once in a life time experience and their exceptional performance not only makes their parents proud but also all of us at Strategic Sports.

Child care is a challenge anywhere and Strategic Sports is no different. All of our workers are from northern parts of China where the young people come to Dongguan to work. Many have young children at home or just as often, they fall in love with a coworker and start a family. To set their minds at ease, Robert Wang, a director of Strategic Sports, personally started and funds the kindergarten that is available free of charge to any child of Strategic employees. Mr. Wang hired qualified teachers for children up to age 6 to teach the children during working hours. Once the child starts primary school, that child will move onto public school. Strategic encourages that children be with their parents and not be hundreds or even thousand of kilometers apart. We understand the challenges facing young people starting families.
Following are images from a normal day at the kindergarten! While the kindergarten is not certified by the Chinese education bureau, we believe in providing modern education including use of computers which the children might not have access to at home. Please feel free to visit when you are at the factory as the kids would be delighted to practice their English!
Going into its third year, we are all grateful to Mr. Wang continued support of our kindergarten.
The 2008 Christmas Party
On Dec. 6th, 2008, we had our annual Christmas party. We thank all our friends and associates for coming, and making it an enjoyable time! In the past, our Christmas parties were held after the 15th however, this year, we had it earlier so that many of our overseas friends and customers could join the party! Though the weather in Hong Kong has gotten chillier and the business climate drops, the Christmas spirit was strong and warm at the party. Dr. Cheng gave us an inspirational address, and everyone anticipated getting the top prizes at the lucky draw!
Special thanks for Maria Cheung for leading the prayer before dinner.
Also special thanks to the kids for submitting their drawings they made before dinner.
Below are some highlights from the pictures of guests and friends, both old and new!

Gold Medal 2008 Idea Awards
All, I feel honoured to inform all of you of our involvement with the Size China project. As the official industrial sponsor, it has been our privilege to work with Roger Ball to scan the face and head sizes of thousands of Chinese people.
Roger has been involved in helmets when he ran his design firm in Canada, designing such famous helmets as RED Buzzcap / Snowcap. When he came to Hong Kong to teach at the Hong Kong Polytechnic, Roger approached us to sponsor a project to scan Chinese faces and heads. This will create scientific data to allow industries to create items that are better fitting and also more safe products.
We are proud to have been involved in this project and now it has won the Gold Medal for Design Research in the Idea 2008 Awards.
